This feature is available in the PRO version of the Taxi Booking plugin. It allows you to manage the number of taxis available and set an interval time between bookings to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Steps to Enable: #
Go to the Taxi Settings: #
- Navigate to the Taxi section from your WordPress dashboard.
- Edit the specific taxi you want to manage.
Enable Quantity & Booking Interval: #
- Under the General Settings tab of the individual taxi, enable the “Enable Inventory” option.
Set Quantity: #
- Enter the number of taxis available.
- Example: If you have only one taxi, enter 1.
Set Booking Interval Time: #
- Define how much time (in minutes) should be blocked after each booking before the taxi becomes available again.
- Example: If you set the interval to 30 minutes, the same taxi will not be available for another booking within that 30-minute window after it’s booked
Front Look: #
Try to book a taxi: #
Search for a taxi to book at 10 AM on May 10.
Select the Fiat Panda taxi for which the inventory and booking interval have been enabled.
Complete the order.
Attempt to place another booking for the same taxi.
You can book the taxi if you change the time.
Use Case Example: #
- You have 1 taxi.
- You set a 30-minute booking interval.
- A user books the taxi at 10:00 AM.
- The next available booking slot will start after 10.30 AM, available time slot.
This ensures smooth scheduling and helps avoid overbooking or service overlap.
